Cats vs. Dogs

New Exhibition at The Vendue, Charleston’s Art Hotel

The Vendue and Robert Lange Studios have collaborated once again to open the next exhibit titled Cats vs Dogs. Forty artists from around the world have each created one piece that is dominated by the theme “cat” or “dog” based on whether they identify as a “cat person” or a “dog person” in a tongue-in-cheek competition to finally determine the better species.

The best part: a portion of all sales from the exhibit will be donated to the Charleston Animal Society and The Vendue will match the donation dollar for dollar. Not only will this help raise awareness for their important work within our community, but the donation will help further their efforts.

After thoughtful deliberation, a team of jurors selected 40 artists from over 300 submissions to make work for the exhibit, which will represent a variety of styles, mediums, and subject-matters. With a goal of curating an exhibit that furthers The Vendue’s mission of fostering adventurous, progressive, contemporary art in Charleston, the featured artists were asked to create work that proposes a creative twist on the theme while incorporating their signature style.
