The concept for Revival is modern, yet relaxed dining with a focus on recipes and/or ingredients from South Carolina’s past.
We have worked with local farmers to “revive” certain ingredients and utilize them in his dishes. A sample of these ingredients include the previously extinct Nostrale rice, Jimmy Red grits, or the Bradford Watermelon.
Situated at 162 East Bay on the corner of Vendue Range, Revival serves a fusion of modern southern food in Charleston, SC that you can’t get anywhere else, like Burrata & Holy City Tomato Salad; Lowcountry Pirlou with Carolina Gold rice (the recalcitrant and ultra-flavorful grains that stick to the pot); and Forbidden Shrimp and Grits made with forbidden black rice packed with antioxidants, not to mention taste.
