Amanda Greive

Amanda’s hyper-realistic compositions reference both classical and contemporary symbolism and iconography. Her detailed oil paintings aim to address the emotional and societal pressure to conform to a certain ideal that women face. This is demonstrated through her symbolic use of the botanical world. Women and plants are both at times resilient, fragile, persistent, and ephemeral.
